Turks and Caicos

I have been struggling to get back in “work mode” this week after my amazing beach getaway last week. I thought I’d give you all a recap of my week of complete laziness at The Regent Palms in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, on Grace Bay. The hotel was stunning and the service was amazing as well!

We stayed in a One Bedroom Ocean View Suite. It was perfect! The suites were very large, had a full kitchen, dining room, living room, and laundry. It was nice to not come home with any dirty clothes! Here are some shots of the room we stayed in…

We spent the week swimming in the ocean, laying out, taking long walks on Grace Bay, eating, and drinking! It was incredible!  This is the view from our daily camp ground on the Adult Only boardwalks located between the beach and the pool:

A quick tip for anyone traveling to this island is to hit up the grocery store at the beginning of your trip. The food and drinks are quite expensive and this will save you a lot of money when you just want a Coke and a snack by the pool.

We ate at some great restaurants during our trip as well. One of my absolute favorites was Grace’s Cottage. We ate there years ago on our honeymoon and it is still perfect! The atmosphere is elegant and romantic. The tables are all outdoors in a beautiful garden lit by candlelight. We had lobster spring rolls, lobster salad, and then lobster and steak for dinner. (It was lobster season, so we went a little crazy!)

They had cute little purse stands so you didn’t have to put your handbag on the ground…such a fun touch!

My husband and I also indulged in massages at the end of our vacay at the number one ranked spa in the Caribbean at our hotel.

We both had traditional hour long Swedish massages and then relaxed by the reflection pool in the spa.  The spa was beautiful and the service was excellent! It was a great ending to our week of relaxation.

My last Turks and Caicos travel tip is for flying home from Provo…Make sure you leave during the week or on an early morning flight on the weekend.  The airport is so small that it gets really chaotic for the afternoon flights.

I am happy to be home with my doggies and am refreshed and ready for Spring to come after having a taste of nice weather! I hope you all are having a great week!
