Top 5 Must have summer beauty products

Hi friends! August is upon us 🙂 August is one of my favorite months partially because its my birthday month but, I also always looked forward to starting a new school year when I was younger. August also means the summer is nearing an end and the fall will be around the corner… hopefully. I thought I would share with you some of my favorite products to help you get through the rest of this summer.

1. Dry shampoo.

With these sweaty summer months, I am thankful every day for dry shampoo. I promise you I have tried every single one out there and I always go back to my favorite by Rene Furterer. It is a little on the pricey side ($27.00/bottle) (which is why I always try to find a cheaper alternative) but I have found when it comes to dry shampoo you definitely get what you pay for. If anyone has a drugstore dry shampoo they love please let me know. I am always trying new ones out.

2. Powder foundation.

I love love love my BB creams, however, my skin is much oiler in the summer and I feel super greasy when I try to use liquid foundations or BB creams. I have been wearing the Clinique super powder double face makeup. $23.00 @ Sephora. This is a full coverage foundation and powder in one. It so easy to apply, gives great even coverage and I don’t have to worry about shiny skin.

3. Self tanner

St. Tropez tanning mousse $42.00 for 8oz bottle @ Sephora. I love the look of nice bronzed skin. I think everyone looks happier, healthier and 10 lbs thinner with a tan. Unfortunately, my pale skin is only two shade…. white or red; so I rely on self tanner for a nice glow. I love the St. Tropez tanning mousse. The application is very easy and the color is surprisingly natural.

4. Makeup removing wipes

My new favorite are the Cetaphil makeup removing wipes ($7.00 at most drugstores) Jamie recommended a few weeks ago. They don’t irritate my skin and do such a great job at removing all my makeup. When I have been hot and sweaty it is the best feeling to remove my makeup and have a clean face. These cleansing cloths make it super easy.

5. Living Proof No Frizz Weightless Styling Spray $36.00 @ Sephora.

This hair product has proven to be a miracle worker during these hot summer months. This styling spray is anti-frizz, a heat protectant and even repels dirt so you do not have to wash your hair as often. My hair looks healthier and softer when I use this, and I don’t have to worry about frizzy hair in this southern humidity.
