loving jo malone fragrances

I hope you all are ready for the weekend! I am getting so excited as I will be traveling to Breckenridge, CO, for a little end of summer/beginning of fall getaway to some cooler weather. I know the rest of the country is starting to feel some glimpses of gorgeous fall weather, but it is still very humid and summer-y here in Florida. I’m hoping that the further South location is going to pay off this winter!

I thought I would do a quick post on here about some Jo Malone fragrances that I am really loving right now! I have the worst habit of hoarding and collecting different fragrances! I just love how all of the bottles look, and I also enjoy mixing up my fragrance from week to week depending on my mood.

I am going to attempt to give a little review of each of these on here, but I am by no means a perfume expert! This is just my take on each fragrance!

1. English Pear and Freesia
This is classified as one of the Jo Malone “fruity” fragrances, however, I would describe this fragrance as clean, light, floral, and fresh. The smell is actually very hard to describe. It smells almost like a clean floral (if that makes sense). It doesn’t sit as heavy and thick as some florals tend to and as the fragrance fades, it leaves behind a subtle, clean scent. I am not a huge floral perfume wearer so this one is the perfect mix of floral and fruity.  When the smell fades a bit, it sort of reminds me of the original Nantucket Briar fragrance from Crabtree and Evelyn (before the formulation was changed). I really enjoy this one and think it is the perfect fragrance for fall!

2. Nectarine Blossom and Honey
This fragrance is a little sweeter but is still light and clean smelling.  It does seem to fade fairly quickly, but still leaves a clean, fresh, fruity, and sweet fragrance throughout the day.

3. Red Roses
If you like the smell of any sort of rose fragrance, you will absolutely love this.  It is a sophisticated, fresh, and light take on a rose scented fragrance.  Upon first application, it can smell a bit strong, but it mellows out and leaves a more subtle fragrance throughout the day.

4. Blackberry and Bay
I actually am wearing this one as I type out this post!  The fragrance is complex and a little hard to describe.  It smells so elegant and clean to me–it has some fruitiness from the blackberry and also an organic (leafy green) smell that is a subtle addition to the scent.  It is definitely one of my favorites of all of these!  (and so sorry for the crazy description!!) The website said that it could be mixed with Nectarine Blossom and Honey which is what lead me to purchase both of those fragrances.  I have not mixed them yet because I have enjoyed it so much on its own!

5. Lime Basil and Mandarin
This cologne is from the citrus scent collection.  It is light, citrusy, and subtle.  I feel like I will get the most wear out of this in the spring and summer as I prefer a citrus fragrance during those months.  I have enjoyed it and feel like it leaves me feeling clean and fresh smelling.

If you all plan on ordering any of these, I highly recommend ordering directly from the Jo Malone website as they provide free shipping, free gift wrapping, and 2 free samples with your purchase!  The shipping turnaround is actually pretty fast.  With my last order, it took 3 business days for the order to arrive–which I thought was not too shabby for free shipping!  Also as I was just perusing their website, if you enter the promo code ‘LIME’ at checkout you will receive a deluxe sample of the Lime Basil & Mandarin Body Creme!

Do you guys have any Jo Malone favorites?  Let me know in the comments section!

Have a great weekend!!!
