Fall Polish

Hello friends! I am happy the week is halfway completed! Last night while I was at Target grocery shopping, I stumbled upon the Essie nail polish display at the end of an isle. ((Whenever I shop at Target, I always end up with a few extra items that I decide that I want need)) I am loving the Essie Fall colors this year! I don’t know if it’s the catchy names or the quality that I love with Essie polishes, but I always find myself coming back for more. Last night I decided to try “The Lace Is On”…

During Fall, I really enjoy embracing all of the warm, rich jewel tones. Upon first glance, this polish looked like the perfect fuchsia jewel tone. It also is a little difficult to tell from the picture, but this polish also has a pearlescent shimmering quality to it.

I also decided to pick up another product I have been wanting to try that was conveniently placed right next to the polish display. I went ahead and also impulse purchased the “Good to Go” rapid dry top coat.

As soon as I got home and put away my groceries, I decided to give the new polish a try. Since I had the new fast dry top coat I figured I would be done with my manicure quickly and be able to cook dinner.

The polish applied evenly and was thick enough to only necessitate applying 1 coat. I did however apply 2 coats to give my nails a more manicured shellacked look. I waited about 1 minute before I applied the quick dry “Good to Go” top coat. Upon application of the top coat, my nails felt dry and hard to the touch after about 5 mins. I felt like this was pretty great considering I applied 2 thick coats of polish!

The other thing I really loved about this fast dry treatment was the final finish that it left on my nails. Many of the other fast dry methods that I have tried alter the final look of the polish. The oil based fast dry treatments that I have used before leave the finish gritty and some of the aerosol-type sprays that I have used in the past make the finish less shiny and give it a matte look.

Overall, I am very satisfied with my Target finds and am loving my jewel toned nails! They were the perfect pick-me-up that I needed to get me through the work week.

It’s time for me to get back to drilling and filling! I hope you all have a great day!
